Parents & Caregivers
When your child enrolls at Durham Academy, your entire family becomes part of the Durham Academy community — and our network of parents and caregivers is an integral part of our school. DA offers families many opportunities to be involved both during school hours and in the evening and on weekends, from reading in the classroom and helping with class activities, to helping organize Family Association community-building events.
Durham Academy Family Association is committed to representing and serving the needs of our full school community. Through its leadership, programming and support, Family Association seeks to support Durham Academy’s mission, strategic initiatives and Diversity, Equity and Engagement mission statement.
Family Association encourages volunteerism, promotes communication and cooperation, and provides input to the school on issues of concern and interest to parents. All Durham Academy parents and caregivers are members of the Family Association.
