  • A 1:1 iPad program in Middle School (grades 5-8)

Preschool/Lower School Technology

  • Kindergarten students learn to log on to a networked computer, open and save files, use dropdown menus and toolbars, and print 
  • Lower School students learn word processing, keyboarding, multimedia, imaging, and drawing skills 
  • The Lower School has a 1:1 iPad pilot program for third and fourth graders to replicate success of Middle School iPad program

  • Multimedia design track includes digital desktop publishing, game design, video production and animation 
  • Computer science track includes computer science, programming and AP Computer Science
  • Hybrid classes in music technology and sound design
  • Upper School Learning Commons serves as a 24/7 digital resource for students, faculty and parents

Digital Citizenship

  • Lessons on cyber safety and ethical, responsible use of technology woven through a variety of classes, grades pre-k through 12
  • Durham Academy is registered with Common Sense Media as a resource for families and teachers
