Upper School English Teacher (and DA alumna) Tina Bessias '78 is diving into a pair of new learning adventures.
First, she'll teach a class next fall on Digital Journalism with our partner program the Global Online Academy.

Next year, I'll be teaching at DA in the mornings and developing a new educational venture in the afternoons. The new venture is Cloud to Ground Learning, and it will provide support for learning that takes place outside academic institutions.

For many years, Upper School English Teacher (and DA alumna) Tina Bessias '78 has built bridges between her DA classroom and points around the globe.
Two years ago she traveled to India with a State Department-funded program called Teachers for Global Classrooms (TGC). Her grant required an eight-week online course and closing symposium in Washington, DC. Click here to see Tina's article in the DA Record about her experience.
This winter Tina began training to teach Digital Journalism to students all over the world - in the Global Online Academy (GOA), a bold consortium of 50 independent schools aiming to raise the standard of excellence for online learning.
