Parents Association & Parents Council
The Durham Academy Parents Association supports the school's academic, social, fine arts and athletic objectives. Parents Association encourages volunteerism, raises and disperses funds, promotes communication and cooperation, and provides input to the school on issues of concern and interest to parents. All Durham Academy parents are members of the Parents Association.
The Durham Academy Parents Council is the governing board of the Parents Association. This group comprises members of an executive committee; division representatives; members of schoolwide committees on matters such as diversity, wellness and athletics; and parents who organize both community-building and fundraising events. See a list of the parents who serve on Parents Council.

The 2015 Durham Academy Strategic Planning Survey closes at 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 15. Please take 15 minutes to share your ideas, priorities and aspirations for DA through the survey emailed to you on Sept. 2.
IMPORTANT: If you did not receive the Sept. 2 email from Head of School Michael Ulku-Steiner containing the link to the survey (subject line: "Please provide your input to Durham Academy’s strategic plan – survey link is open now”), please check your spam folder. To protect anonymity, the survey links came from an independent research firm that may not have been recognized by your spam filters.
To the 900-plus parents, current and former faculty/staff, Upper School students, alumni and parents of alumni who have taken the survey so far – thank you! If you haven’t taken the survey yet, or if you started and haven’t finished the survey, please do so by Monday.
Feel like you’ve got more to say than what’s covered in the survey? Visit the Strategic Plan page on DA’s website for a list of several parent listening sessions in October and contact information for the Steering Committee — or email your suggestions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Results from the survey will help inform DA’s Board of Trustees and administrative team as the 2015 Strategic Plan is framed.
Every single voice needs to be heard. Thank you for speaking up through this survey!
