One hundred seniors celebrate their years at DA at commencement
Posted 06/02/2014 03:00PM

With turns of their tassels, 100 Durham Academy seniors were transformed into alumni May 23 at the school's 40th commencement exercises.

The Rev. Dr. Will Willimon, former dean of Duke University Chapel and now pastor of Duke Memorial United Methodist Church, delivered the commencement address, which was subsequently featured on TIME.com. For what was believed to be the first time in DA's history, two valedictorians were recognized: Justin Katz and Sean O'Connor. Kyle Bushick was class salutatorian.
