Parents Association & Parents Council
The Durham Academy Parents Association supports the school's academic, social, fine arts and athletic objectives. Parents Association encourages volunteerism, raises and disperses funds, promotes communication and cooperation, and provides input to the school on issues of concern and interest to parents. All Durham Academy parents are members of the Parents Association.
The Durham Academy Parents Council is the governing board of the Parents Association. This group comprises members of an executive committee; division representatives; members of schoolwide committees on matters such as diversity, wellness and athletics; and parents who organize both community-building and fundraising events. See a list of the parents who serve on Parents Council.

To all 559 alumni who made a gift to the 2017–2018 Durham Academy Fund, thank you! This was a year of both record participation by alumni and record dollars raised by the alumni community — a whopping $232,500.
Strong alumni giving makes a big difference, as the DA Fund helps bridge the gap between tuition income and the cost of operating the school. Unrestricted giving to the fund is put to use immediately and supports the life-changing faculty and programs that make Durham Academy extraordinary.
Alumni participation was especially widespread on DA Giving Day, with 80 new donors making a gift and 100 percent of the Class of 2017 participating. Mark your calendars for March 5, DA Giving Day 2019.
The alumni community's strong participation sends a great message to all of the DA community, and we are already seeing the trend continue into 2018–2019.
Alumni who give $500 or more or who give for three consecutive years are recognized as leadership donors. Alumni leadership donors will be honored this spring at the Cavalier Circle reception. To join with fellow alumni in supporting DA, make an online gift at www.da.org/giveonline.
Our students and faculty appreciate your generosity!
