Parents Association & Parents Council

The Durham Academy Parents Association supports the school's academic, social, fine arts and athletic objectives. Parents Association encourages volunteerism, raises and disperses funds, promotes communication and cooperation, and provides input to the school on issues of concern and interest to parents. All Durham Academy parents are members of the Parents Association.

The Durham Academy Parents Council is the governing board of the Parents Association. This group comprises members of an executive committee; division representatives; members of schoolwide committees on matters such as diversity, wellness and athletics; and parents who organize both community-building and fundraising events. Used Book Sale Sort Rescheduled for Sept. 28

Parents, please join us as we sort the piles and piles of used books that have been donated for Durham Academy's Used Book Sale over the summer.

We'll gather Friday, Sept. 28, from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Middle School, in the "tunnel" behind room 409. Coffee and snacks will be on hand. (This sort was rescheduled from earlier in September due to Hurricane Florence.)

Thank you for all the book donations, and please keep them coming! Collection bins are in the Preschool/Lower School lobby, in front of the Middle School and in front of Kenan Auditorium on the Upper School campus.
