Parents Association & Parents Council

The Durham Academy Parents Association supports the school's academic, social, fine arts and athletic objectives. Parents Association encourages volunteerism, raises and disperses funds, promotes communication and cooperation, and provides input to the school on issues of concern and interest to parents. All Durham Academy parents are members of the Parents Association.

The Durham Academy Parents Council is the governing board of the Parents Association. This group comprises members of an executive committee; division representatives; members of schoolwide committees on matters such as diversity, wellness and athletics; and parents who organize both community-building and fundraising events. Blood Drive Set for Oct. 24

Durham Academy's Red Cross Club will hold its fall blood drive on Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the lobby of Kirby Gym, on the Upper School campus.

You should be in and out in less than an hour — and your donation could help save three lives!

To make an appointment to donate, email Red Cross Club advisor Josh Ross.

Donors who are 16 must bring a signed parental consent form and photo ID. Those 17 and older do not need a consent form but must bring a photo ID. Donors should be in general good health and weigh at least 110 pounds. Learn about other eligibility requirements on the Red Cross website. Student-athletes who will participate in games or practice on the afternoon of Oct. 24 should not donate.
