Parents Association & Parents Council
The Durham Academy Parents Association supports the school's academic, social, fine arts and athletic objectives. Parents Association encourages volunteerism, raises and disperses funds, promotes communication and cooperation, and provides input to the school on issues of concern and interest to parents. All Durham Academy parents are members of the Parents Association.
The Durham Academy Parents Council is the governing board of the Parents Association. This group comprises members of an executive committee; division representatives; members of schoolwide committees on matters such as diversity, wellness and athletics; and parents who organize both community-building and fundraising events. Parents Bulletin Board
As you gear up for the new school year, be sure to stop by the Durham Academy School Store's back-to-school sale, with school supplies, regular priced-clothing (including new Nike apparel) and gift items offered at a 15 percent discount. (A few items are excluded.) The sale will be held from Wednesday, Aug. 15, to Monday, Aug. 20, in the school store — located in the Upper School Learning Commons. The store is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the start of school.
