Parents Association & Parents Council
The Durham Academy Parents Association supports the school's academic, social, fine arts and athletic objectives. Parents Association encourages volunteerism, raises and disperses funds, promotes communication and cooperation, and provides input to the school on issues of concern and interest to parents. All Durham Academy parents are members of the Parents Association.
The Durham Academy Parents Council is the governing board of the Parents Association. This group comprises members of an executive committee; division representatives; members of schoolwide committees on matters such as diversity, wellness and athletics; and parents who organize both community-building and fundraising events. See a list of the parents who serve on Parents Council.
Parents Bulletin Board
Box Tops for Education has had a wonderful year with two strong submissions. Thank you for the overwhelming number of Box Tops! The next submission is not due until October, but Parents Association will gather whatever you have by the end of the school year.
Don't stop collecting over the summer, we will welcome submissions again in August!
DA Parents Association has set up three collection sites:
- Preschool/Lower School: Bucket is inside the lobby on top of the glass cases.
- Middle School: There is a box on the counter in the front office.
- Upper School: There is a folder on the Parents Association bulletin board in the Learning Commons.
Please address questions about the program to Kelly Wood at firstname.lastname@example.org.
