After-School Programs

The mission of Extended Day is to provide a safe, fun and supportive environment where children have the opportunity to explore their interests, have positive social interactions, learn to process and regulate their emotions and gain confidence in their growing independence.

Extended Day is a child-centered, free play based program focused on the social and emotional development of the children in our care.  Through personal relationships built over time with the children, their teachers and families, we are able to help our kids grow into happy, moral and productive adults.

In addition to overseeing DA's main after-school care program, Extended Day is responsible for coordinating the study hall program and a variety of extracurricular activities that begin at the end of the school day. These extracurriculars include Chinese language and culture, guitar, fencing, martial arts, piano, computer game design, dance, gymnastics, drumming, flute, drawing, multimedia art, cooking, violin, computer programming, study skills, sports, tennis, LEGO engineering, pottery, ukulele, math club, Minecraft, chess — and our list is continually growing!

If you need childcare on a day when school is not in session due to parent conferences, professional development or faculty meetings, we also offer All Day Care. These days are filled with lots of fun activities and allow working parents to better manage their schedules.
