Event Recap:Southlake Christian scored the first 12 points of the second half and shot 12-18 from the field after the break to rally for a 54-49 win over the Cavaliers Saturday afternoon at NRCA. DA picks up their first lost of the season after playing a strong defensive first half giving up just 16 points in the opening 16 minutes. The Eagles turned a 25-16 deficit into a 28-25 lead thanks to the hot shooting of Zion Hendrix (10 of his 14 points in the third) and senior Army commit Madison Monroe (17 points). The Cavaliers were led by Bryant Randleman's game-high 19 points, six rebounds and three assists, but the Cavaliers three-point shooting continues to be cold to start the season. DA was just 6-22 from three and some key misses late in the game allowed the Eagles to remain unbeaten on the year. Charlie Mendys (11 points/7 rebounds) and Cole Sinclair (10 points) joined Randleman in double-figures. DA hosts Jordan High Tuesday at 7 pm.
