DA Fund

The Durham Academy Fund is the most important fundraising effort of the year. Proceeds cover the gap between tuition and the true cost of a DA education.

Unrestricted giving to the Durham Academy Fund is put to use immediately and supports the programs and people that make DA extraordinary. Every gift matters, and the entire DA community is encouraged to be invested and involved in DA's culture of giving.

The DA Fund Supports:

  • life-changing teachers
  • vibrant visual and performing arts
  • competitive athletics
  • financial aid for talented and deserving students
  • robotics and cutting-edge technology
  • special events and guests
  • strong experiential education

“Since joining the DA community in 2016, we have been pleased to give to a place that helps our children work toward creating the footprint they ultimately would like to have on their community and beyond.”

“I am in awe of the people that I work with and that my kids are spending their day with, and I'm so blessed and fortunate for them to have this opportunity. [In making a gift], I am saying thank you and that I am honored to be a part of the DA family.”

Leadership Giving

The success of the Durham Academy Fund depends on gifts above and beyond the average level of giving. Durham Academy introduced new Giving Circles and Societies for 2020-2021 in recognition of those parents, alumni, faculty and staff, grandparents, parents of alumni and friends who make especially generous contributions to the DA Fund or generously support the school's near-term goals and long-term aspirations.
