Durham Academy is fortunate to have a wonderful tradition of philanthropy from parents, alumni, grandparents, faculty, staff and friends. This commitment to our school allows for the continued excellence and achievement that is the hallmark of a DA education.
Like nearly every independent school across the country, Durham Academy relies on annual fund gifts, endowment funds and capital campaigns to supplement tuition, bolster the financial aid program, operate the school and support construction and renovation projects. Donations are crucial to the ongoing academic and financial health of the school.
Introducing New Giving Circles and Societies in 2020–2021
Philanthropy is integral to Durham Academy’s mission to provide students an education that prepares them to lead moral, happy and productive lives. Your gift ensures we meet near-term goals and fulfill long-term aspirations. We would be delighted for you to join one of our giving circles with an annual gift or multi-year pledge.

Lifetime and Legacy Giving Societies
Commemorating the influence and vision of George Watts Hill, Frank Hawkins Kenan and Bess Pickard Boone, our Lifetime Giving Societies celebrate our most generous donors and honor the exceptional culture of philanthropy embraced by our community.
"We believe that talented and dedicated teachers lie at the heart of the DA experience. Contributing to the Durham Academy Fund helps ensure that the school is able to maintain a faculty full of life-changers who will provide the very best education for our children, both now and into the future."
