newly named DA Preschool director

Durham Academy is thrilled to announce the appointment of Christian Hairston as the school's next Preschool teacher/director. Her appointment comes after a 15-month international search following the retirement of Sheppy Vann, who served as DA's Preschool director/teacher for 24 years. Hairston's tenure will begin July 1.

We asked Hairston to share some details about herself and her family that aren’t part of her résumé, and we hope you enjoy getting to know her as much as we have! Read More
