A Teen Acapella Group Created A Music Video With An Important Message About Sex And It's Amazing

They'll lead you through a roller coaster of emotions -- for a good reason.

An acapella group at North Carolina High School Durham Academy, XIV Hours, created a spectacular video that deals with relationships, sex and gender politics.

Their medley of songs is presented as a musical in three acts. The first deals with the subject matter in many pop hits -- from "How To Be A Heartbreaker" by Marina & The Diamonds to "Bang Bang" by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj to "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk. Songs like these with sexual lyrics are often marketed to teens, and XIV Hours wanted to call attention to it.

"We realized that we wanted to deliver an important message and inspire conversation on a larger level about relationship expectations and the mixed messages teens navigate through the music they listen to every day," the description under the video states.

The second act, a duet of Sam Smith's "Stay With Me," reimagines the song as a conversation between a girl and a boy thinking about having sex for the first time together. The third act and finale to the extremely well-done music video deals with the repercussions of hooking up in today's internet culture.
