Virginia Hall began teaching and coaching at Durham Academy in 1998, and has served as an advisor and taught fifth grade history during her tenure at her alma mater. She previously assisted as a varsity swim coach and is now the head coach for the Middle School cross-country and track and field teams.
Virginia graduated from DA in 1991 and attended The College of William and Mary, where she served as the manager for the cross-country and track programs and coached summer league swimming during her summer breaks. She had a teaching internship at Ashley Hall School in Charleston, South Carolina, where she taught sixth grade social studies and served as a PE assistant and varsity track assistant coach. She earned her Master’s in Teaching in history from Vanderbilt University. While at Vanderbilt, she coached middle school cross-country and track at the University School of Nashville.
