DA and Jordan have shared a lasting connection off the field — a four-mile stretch of Garrett Road — and on, where the Cavaliers and Falcons have engaged in spirited games, matches and meets. In fall 2024, the Garrett Road Rivalry was born, formalizing an enduring legacy of interscholastic competition between DA and Jordan.

The annual competition features 20 athletics events in which the Cavaliers and Falcons will play each other over the course of each school year. The winning school in each event earns one point toward a running total that encompasses the fall, winter and spring seasons. The school with the most head-to-head victories at the conclusion of the athletics calendar year will be declared the winner of the Garrett Road Rivalry. The annual winner also retainS possession of the rivalry’s signature trophy until it relinquishes the title.

Student-athletes define this rivalry with their soaring excellence and prevailing sportsmanship. But doing so amid a raucous, respectful atmosphere wouldn’t be possible without you! Your Cavaliers need you to pack the stands and bring the energy for ALL of our Olympic sports on the field, court, track, diamond, course — even at the pool.

We’re grateful to BSN for sponsoring the Garrett Road Rivalry and supporting our student-athletes. We’re grateful to Jordan High School for this partnership. And most of all, we’re grateful to DA and Jordan student-athletes — past, present and future — for making this friendly rivalry possible with their unwavering dedication to their school and their teams.
