Admission Events

Let’s get to know each other! When choosing a school for your family, a good match is everything. You want a school community in which your family feels at home and your child will thrive. Our Enrollment Management team hosts events throughout the year to help prospective families determine whether or not Durham Academy might be a good match for them.

Information Sessions

Each fall, we host two Information Sessions per school division. These events offer opportunities to learn more about Durham Academy via presentations from division directors, our head of school, and the Enrollment Management team.

Preschool/Lower School Information Sessions feature panels of current parents.
(To tour, please register for a Small Group Tour separately.)
Middle School and Upper School Information Sessions feature panels of current students and include campus tours.

Small Group Tours

See learning in action at Durham Academy! Along with a handful of other interested families, you’ll take a guided tour of indoor and outdoor spaces for learning and recreation. These tours are led by a member of our Enrollment Management team, school administrator or student (for Upper School tours).

Student Shadow Days

Students play an important role in a family's school decision process, so we encourage prospective students to come check out Durham Academy for themselves! Student Shadow Days are offered several times throughout the year to enable prospective students entering grades 5 to 12 to spend a day at DA with a student host. Meet Our Student Ambassador Leadership Council.

When registering, please select the grade level to which you are applying, not your current grade level.

Turn left at the traffic light onto Garrett Road.
At the stop sign, turn right onto Pickett Road.
At the next light, turn left onto Ridge Road.
Turn right into the SECOND Durham Academy entrance on Ridge Road.
Visitor parking is on the right; park in any available space.

From Interstate 85 or the Durham Freeway (N.C. 147):

Exit at U.S. 15-501 and go south.
Take the Cornwallis Road exit (exit 106) and turn right onto Cornwallis Road.
Go 0.7 mile, and turn left onto Ridge Road.
Go 1 mile.
Turn left into the SECOND Durham Academy entrance.
Visitor parking is on the right; park in any available space.

Turn onto the N.C. 751 ramp.
Turn right onto N.C. 751/Academy Road.
