Special Topics in Engineering applies the principles, practices, and disciplines of engineering to address problems in our community. Students will choose a problem that aligns with their passions and strengths. Throughout the semester, they will work as a team to analyze the problem and design a solution. They will then fabricate, test, and iterate to refine their design. Students will employ principles of Universal Design to make their solutions accessible, keeping the end user in mind. They will make data-driven design decisions as they complete the engineering design process.
