Physical Education — Lifelong Fitness and Activities: Grades 7 & 8

In Physical Education, students will explore a wide variety of activities that will create a foundation for physical literacy and activity throughout their lives. Students will explore, develop and maintain components of physical activity and health while learning to coordinate and cooperate with peers in familiar and novel settings. 

The focus of this course is the application of movement skills and knowledge to individual and group physical activities. The understanding and maintenance of physical fitness concepts, principles and strategies: and the application of social/emotional concepts including self-responsibility, positive social interaction, and group dynamics, in the learning and performance of physical activity. Be prepared to chase joy with fitness and fun!
