3-minute read

During an outdoor ceremony Thursday afternoon in the Upper School quad, 11 student-athletes put pen to ceremonial paper and marked their commitment to NCAA athletics programs amid cheers from family, teammates, coaches and friends. They joined five DA student-athletes who celebrated their own commitments during a Fall Signing Day ceremony in November.

Learn more about these 11 Cavaliers who will take their game to the next level. Literally.

Hall Chapman ’26

Washington and Lee University

Golf

Chapman’s six years with the DA boys golf team, which included two years as captain, featured an embarrassment of accolades: two-time All-State honors, four-time All-Conference honors, a member of three conference championship teams, a member of the state runner-up team in 2023, an individual fifth-place finisher at the 2024 state championships and the winner of the 2025 Keith Hills High School Invitational.

Audrey Crowder ’26

Brown University

Cross Country and Track & Field

The most decorated runner in DA cross country history is an individual state champion (2022), a team state champion (2025), an individual state runner-up (2025) and a three-time TISAC Player of the Year. In track, Crowder has earned All-Conference honors three times in three different distances: the 800 meters, 1600 meters and 3200 meters.

Josh Dorsette ’26

Dean College

Basketball

Dorsette earned All-Conference honors in 2025 and 2026, and he led the Cavaliers in scoring (15.3 points per game) — the best scoring average among all NCISAA Triangle schools — during his senior year. He totaled nearly 3,000 minutes and eclipsed 1,500 points in his five-year varsity career, which included two seasons at Durham School of the Arts and, after enrolling as a sophomore, three seasons at DA.

Tate Duensing ’26

Johns Hopkins University

Cross Country and Track & Field

Duensing was a four-year cross-country athlete and played on the DA boys golf team before his recent — and successful — transition to track and field. Duensing currently owns DA’s fastest times in three different track events: 400-meter relay split, 800 meters and 1600 meters. His current mile time (4:25) is only 8 seconds off the school record, and he finished fourth in the 800 meters at the 2025 state championships.

Nick Friga ’26

Claremont McKenna College

Cross Country and Track & Field

A two-time All-Conference selection in cross country, Friga also earned a spot on the All-State roster in 2024, when he led the Cavs to a state runner-up finish. He owns DA's sixth-fastest mile time (4:22), and he has been a member of the cross country team since seventh grade.

Curry Jennings ’26

Washington and Lee University

Lacrosse

Jennings has been a standout in both DA soccer and lacrosse. He was named 2025 TISAC Player of the Year and received All-State honors in soccer. In his four years as a varsity contributor for lacrosse, Jennings earned All-Conference honors three times. He also garnered an All-State selection in 2025, as he helped lead the Cavs to the state title game. In Jennings’ past three seasons, the Cavs have won three conference championships and 17 of their 18 conference games.

Jack Kelley ’26

Tufts University

Soccer

The Cavs’ starting goaltender earned All-State honors in 2024 and a pair of All-Conference selections. Kelley also served as a captain on the 2025 boys soccer team that went undefeated in TISAC play and won the conference title. The Cavs won 24 of their 26 conference games during Kelley’s four years on the varsity team.

Kenzie Kim ’26

Williams College

Swimming

Kim, who joined the DA swim team as a seventh grader, owns multiple school swim records and was a part of the 200-meter freestyle relay team that won first place at the 2026 TISAC conference championships. She was the 2024 recipient of DA Athletics' Steve Engebretsen Underclassmen Leadership Award. Kim also played on the DA girls golf team that won three consecutive state titles from 2022 to 2024.

Lucy Lundblad ’26

Sewanee: The University of the South

Soccer

Lundblad, a left-footed attacking midfielder, has played soccer since she was 3 years old. While she never competed for the Cavaliers, her club team — North Carolina Football Club — and her training have taken her to, among other destinations, Barcelona and Sydney. Lundblad’s coaches have included Mollie Pathman ’10, a multi-time All-ACC selection at Duke and a 2013 inductee into the DA Athletic Hall of Fame.

Malcolm McNeill ’26,

William Peace University

Basketball

McNeill enrolled at DA for his senior year and became a boys basketball standout, leading the team in field-goal percentage, rebounds per game and blocks per game. He paced the Cavs to a four-game winning streak in late January with a double-double (21 points, 12 rebounds) vs. Carrboro and with 19 points in a road win over Ravenscroft.

Quinlan Vorenkamp ’26,

The College of Wooster

Soccer

Vorenkamp was a three-time All-Conference selection with the Cavaliers and served as a captain during the 2025 season, leading DA to a perfect TISAC record and a conference title. During Vorenkamp’s four years on the boys soccer team, the Cavs won 24 of their 26 conference games.
