The Middle School Gateway Center marks the second phase in a multi-year, multi-million-dollar reimagination of the Middle School campus on Academy Road, which is the first campus Durham Academy ever built (For many years, the Academy Road campus was home to pre-kindergarten to grade 8). The Gateway Center, a two-story academic building, will house math, history, science classrooms and labs, student services and unique gathering spaces. The building will also become the new "front door" for the Middle School campus, re-orienting the main campus entrance to University Drive. This phase of construction is estimated to be completed in spring 2023.
