Fourth-Graders Host Book Drive for Book Harvest March 27–April 6

Are your child’s bookshelves in need of a spring cleaning? If so, a group of Durham Academy fourth-graders will be happy to help put those outgrown books in the hands of children who will appreciate them! These students have teamed up with Book Harvest to host a book drive from March 27–April 6.

New and gently used books for readers ages 0–18 can be dropped off at collection bins in the Preschool/Lower School lobby, as well as in the alcove by the elevator on the second floor of the Preschool/Lower School building.

Durham-based nonprofit Book Harvest provides provides books and ongoing literacy support to families and their children from birth. Book Harvest is in particular need of board books, picture books, Spanish and bilingual books, and books that portray ALL children, honoring diverse backgrounds, languages, abilities, and perspectives, and including stories by and about people of color.
