Girls Basketball vs. Metrolina Christian
Your Cavalier girls basketball team earned the No. 7 seed in the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association 4A state tournament! The DA girls received a first-round bye and will host the Metrolina Christian Warriors tonight at 5:30 in Kirby Gym. DA faculty, staff and students will be admitted for free; tickets for all others are $7 and available online.

Boys Basketball vs. Ravenscroft
Your DA boys basketball team took down TISAC (Triangle Independent Schools Athletic Conference) foe Cary Academy 58–47 on Tuesday in the opening round of the NCISAA 4A state tournament. The Cavs move on to the second round to face Ravenscroft School for the third time this season. The rivals split the first two contests and were TISAC co-champions.
The game tips off at 6 tonight in the Olander Center on the campus of Ravenscroft. Tickets are $7, cash only.

Swim Team State Meet
The DA swim team competed in the NCISAA 4A state swim meet on Monday with both the boys and girls teams taking fourth place. Both teams showed improvement from last year, as the girls moved up from fifth and the boys moved up from eighth place!
Out of 49 different swims, the DA team set 30 personal bests during the biggest meet of the year. These 30 swims also included 12 school records, a third-place finish, a second-place finish and three individual state champion swims!

Spring Athletics Parent/Player Meeting
The Spring Athletics Varsity Parent/Player Meeting will be held on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in Kenan Auditorium on the Upper School campus. This information session is required for parents and student-athletes participating in a varsity spring sport and will be followed by individual team meetings with the coaches.
Winter Athletics Awards Ceremony
The Winter Athletics Awards ceremony will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m. in Horton Hall on the Middle School Campus. Varsity athletes and their families are invited and encouraged to attend this event to highlight the winter season accomplishments.
