Ben Brock Sets New DA Record!
Swimmer Ben Brock ’26 set a new Durham Academy school record in the 500-yard freestyle. He finished with an impressive 4:47:72, eclipsing the mark (4:52:78) set by teammate Bennett Harris ’25 last season!
Middle School Teams Hit the Big Time in Kirby Gym
On Wednesday night, the Middle School boys teams took their shot at living the varsity dream. Their games were played in Kirby Gym with all of the lights and sounds of a Friday night CavDome!
The B team started off the night with an exciting 4-point win in overtime vs. Trinity. The A Team fought hard but fell 52–44. It was a great experience for the future of the program!
Be sure to come out and support the Middle School girls on their night in Kirby Gym when they host Trinity on Jan. 17!
Friday Night Basketball!
Come out and support the Cavs on Friday night as they take on Northern High School! The JV boys get the action started at 4:30 p.m., followed by a varsity double-header. The varsity girls tip off at 6 p.m., with the boys following at 7:30 p.m.
Durham Academy to Honor 2022 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees
On Friday, Dec. 16, we will welcome our newest members of the Durham Academy Athletics Hall of Fame. Established in 2013, the DA Athletic Hall of Fame comprises alumni athletes, coaches, staff members and administrators who were particularly outstanding in a specific sport and helped to advance athletics at DA in their time. The Hall now stands at 30 members, representing alumni classes ranging from 1978 to 2011, as well as coaches spanning the decades.
These inductees will be inducted at halftime of the varsity boys basketball game, which is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. Join us to celebrate them during their ceremony. Learn more about the 2022 Athletic Hall of Fame inductees.

Upper School Games

JV & varsity boys and girls basketball teams will play their home games in Kirby Gymnasium on the Upper School campus (3601 Ridge Road).
Middle School Games

Middle School boys and girls basketball teams will play their home games in the Middle School Gymnasium (3116 Academy Road).
Regular Season Ticketing

Tickets are required for varsity contests only. Middle School and JV games do not require a ticket.

The gym will be cleared following the JV game(s) where applicable.

Varsity tickets are $5 and can be purchased at www.da.org/athletics/tickets.

DA families may use passcode “Kirby22” to acquire two complimentary season-long passes. Each pass will grant the pass-holder entry into each home regular season contest.* These are available now.

Season passes will be emailed to you as a .pdf attachment. Printed passes and screen shots are valid and will be scanned at the gate.

Passes are also available through the new “Hometown Fan” mobile phone app. Login information will be the phone number used to “purchase tickets.” This app is pictured below.
*Tickets to individual games will be available the Sunday prior to the event day throughout the season.
