At a time when the need is great, the Upper School Red Cross Club is offering Durham Academy students, faculty, staff and parents the opportunity to save up to three lives by donating blood. The annual fall blood drive is set for Oct. 7 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with strict COVID-19 precautions in place.
Donors who are 16 must bring a signed parental consent form and photo ID. Those 17 and older do not need a consent form but must bring a photo ID. Donors should be in general good health and weigh at least 110 pounds. Learn about other eligibility requirements on the Red Cross website. Student-athletes who will participate in games or practice later in the day should not donate.
