Katie McEnroe

“I am so grateful to be part of a community that focuses on the 'long game' for our students' happiness and success. That means supporting and challenging our students to be the best and most authentic versions of themselves. I look forward to asking important and direct questions and working hard together to find our students' next learning home!"

Dean of College Counseling Katie McEnroe graduated from Bates College, where she majored in biology and minored in history. In addition to her studies, she interviewed and read for the Bates admissions office, and played field hockey. After graduating from Bates, she coached college field hockey, worked in the admissions office and graduated with a master's degree in psychology from Washington College. In her time at Washington College, Katie was promoted to Mid-Atlantic Regional Director, where she focused on getting students from under-resourced backgrounds in Baltimore City to colleges and universities.

In the five years prior to joining the DA community, McEnroe served Holton Arms School in Bethesda, Maryland, as Associate Director of College Counseling, head field hockey coach, a member of the school’s Inclusion, Diversity and Equity committee, and a Global Education trip leader. McEnroe is passionate about supporting the full student and helping them become great global citizens. Her husband is a North Carolina native, and they are excited to be back near the Wolfpack!
