Seniors: College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC), the North Carolina Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NCASFAA) and the State Employees' Credit Union (SECU) are pleased to sponsor the twelfth FAFSA Day to help students complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) forms for the 2012-13 academic year. FAFSA Day will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 9am until noon at most locations. Please visit CFNC.org/fafsaday for a listing of all times and locations The program is open to all North Carolina high school seniors planning to attend college in the fall of 2012.

Re-enrollment contracts to be handled electronically;
contracts are due on Friday, Feb. 10
Durham Academy will be handling re-enrollment contracts electronically for the first time this year. Re-enrollment and tuition information for 2012-13 will be emailed to parents of current Durham Academy students on Jan. 24. Using the personalized Veracross link, families can re-enroll, submit tuition deposits via bank draft and update any medical information.

Two seniors are semifinalists for UNC’s Morehead-Cain Award
Durham Academy seniors Sarah Molina and Shan Nagar are semifinalists in the competition for the Morehead-Cain Award, a prestigious scholarship to UNC-Chapel Hill. Less than 15 percent of the scholarship nominees advance to the semifinalist level.
