Faculty and Staff

Durham Academy’s faculty is an outstanding, highly trained group of skilled professionals who understand child learning and development. Our teachers work as a team, sharing insights as well as curricular goals. As a result, our program builds in interesting ways from one level to the next. Teachers have small classes, professional freedom and the independence they need to design and implement challenging learning activities that reflect the abilities and interests of their students. Durham Academy teachers set high standards for students in every arena, and they truly want each child to succeed. They are committed to being accessible, to using dynamic teaching strategies and to connecting with students both in and out of the classroom.
