CavClassifiedsChair: Andy Dunk ( cavclassifieds@da.org) CavClassifieds is an electronic advertising service provided by the DA Parents Association through which you may advertise goods or services. Ad revenues from this service benefit programs of the Durham Academy Parents Association, and your advertisement reaches nearly 1000 DA households! Previous ads have listed items to sell, sought items to buy, and advertised for babysitters, summer jobs, house rentals, or other services. You may also include lost and found items or advertise your business.
CavClassifieds is also posted to the web site each month. You must log in to access the page. Issues are updated on the first school day of each month with ad placement required seven days prior to that. Advertising rates are: Lost and Found, $5; DA family ad, $10; DA family business, $20; Non-DA affiliated, $50. Ads should be limited to 50 words or less. To place an ad, email CavClassifieds@da.org.
Advertisements are not necessarily endorsed by Durham Academy, and the Parents Association reserves the right refuse any advertisement deemed inconsistent with the best interests of the school.
To access the current edition of the CavsClassifieds, log on to the website. Select your "Parent" page from the black menu on the left. From the Pages menu select CavsClassifieds. The CavsClassifieds will be archived each month should you wish to reference a previous month's copy. |

Whole Foods ScripChairs: Lisa Salzman Whole Foods supports Durham Academy by selling scrip certificates in support of our school. For every $20 of Whole Foods scrip purchased, Whole Foods donates $1 to DA.
Here’s how the program works:
Scrip dollars can be used just as cash on any items in the store and effectively have no expiry date. While the scrip certificates are printed with a six-month expiry, they will be honored beyond that date.
DA Parents have the option to purchase scrip once a month by placing an order by email with the Scrip Coordinator. Scrip will be delivered to your child, in a Friday folder or in the MS or US business office for pick up. Scrip is charged to your DA account, so you pay the DA business office directly. If you are not a parent but are interested in participating, please contact our Coordinator.
The Whole Foods Chapel Hill store is the store making the 5% donation to Durham Academy, so we ask that when possible you please use your scrip to patronize this store and thank them for their support. The other local stores will accept your scrip.
If you would like more information or would like to receive our monthly emails, please contact our Whole Foods Scrip Coordinator, Lisa Salzman, at lisa.salzman@gmail.com.
