Parents Association & Parents Council

The Durham Academy Parents Association supports the school's academic, social, fine arts and athletic objectives. Parents Association encourages volunteerism, raises and disperses funds, promotes communication and cooperation, and provides input to the school on issues of concern and interest to parents. All Durham Academy parents are members of the Parents Association.

The Durham Academy Parents Council is the governing board of the Parents Association. This group comprises members of an executive committee; division representatives; members of schoolwide committees on matters such as diversity, wellness and athletics; and parents who organize both community-building and fundraising events. Deadline extension: Fall Gifts & Wraps Fundraiser runs through Sept. 25

Durham Academy's Fall Gifts & Wraps Fundraiser offers parents a simple way to support the school and purchase high-quality gift items and gift wrap at the same time! The deadline to submit order has been extended to Monday, Sept. 25, with delivery expected by the end of October. Orders may be placed online through the end of the day Monday, and paper orders may be turned in at school on Monday.

This year's sale features high-quality gifts — from candies and dip mixes to unique kitchen items and holiday decor — and gift wrap from Genevieve's. The gift wrap is of a similar quality as that featured in previous DA fundraisers. Look for samples of the items available in the display case in the Preschool/Lower School lobby.

DA receives 50 percent profit on all orders made via the catalog (sent home with Preschool and Lower School students on Sept. 8, and available in the Middle School and Upper School main offices). The school receives 40 percent profit on all online orders.

Free shipping will be offered on all orders placed during the sale period and delivered to the school.
