To the Ridge Road campuses (Preschool, Lower School, Upper School and Admissions Office):
From Interstate 40: Exit at route 15-501 and head north for 1.4 miles. Turn left onto Garrett Road at the traffic light. At the stop sign, turn right onto Pickett Road. At the next light, turn left onto Ridge Road. All three entrances to Durham Academy are on the right. The first driveway is for the Upper School gym, which also includes parking for and access to the Upper School athletic fields. The next driveway is for the main office and academic buildings for the Upper School campus. The third driveway is for the Preschool and Lower School campus, including access to the Lower School gymnasium and an athletic field that is used by the field hockey, girls soccer and girls lacrosse teams from the Upper School. From Interstate 85 or the Durham Freeway (Rt. 147): Exit at route 15-501 and head south. Take the Cornwallis Road exit and turn right onto Cornwallis Road. After six-tenths of a mile, turn left onto Ridge Road. After one mile, the entrance to the Durham Academy Preschool and Lower School will be on your left directly past an athletic field that is used by the field hockey, girls soccer and girls lacrosse teams from the Upper School. The second driveway on the left is the entrance to the Upper School. The third driveway on the left is the Upper School gym lot - which also includes parking for and access to the Upper School athletic fields.
To the Academy Road campus (Middle School):
From Interstate 40: Exit at route 15-501 and head north. When 15-501 splits, follow the Business 15-501 lanes to the left. Exit onto route 751 and turn right at the traffic light. Durham Academy's entrance will be on your right.
From Interstate 85 or Durham Freeway (Rt. 147): Exit at route 15-501 Bypass and head south. Exit onto route 751 and turn left (south). Follow 751 south for 2.7 miles. Durham Academy's entrance will be on your right. |
